Exploring Tilicho Lake Trek

Tilicho Lake known for the highest lake in the world is located in Manang District of Nepal in the Annapurna range at an altitude of 4919m. Among the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Tilicho lake trek undoubtedly provides some of the world's best views, great variety of culture and diversity, finest deep valley's and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal. The place is rich with the wide range of people and terrain, sub-tropical to high, dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau. Tilicho lake trekking leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and majestic views of the white Himalayas. The magnificent route leads you through traditional "Manangi" villages inhabited by friendly, habitual people who always offer a warm welcome amidst the magical, snowcapped Himalayas.

Embark on a 13 day trek to one of the highest lake in the world- Tilicho lake located in the Manang district of Nepal situated at an altitude of 4919 meters (16138 ft approx.) in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas and also known as the highest lake for its size in the world though there are lakes at higher altitude. Tilicho lake is one of the most popular destination along the Annapurna circuit. On this trek you will visit villages of Manang district also towards Milarepa cave which itself has an interesting tales. Your guide will definitely fill your trek with stories to make it less stressful.

All accommodations for the trek are on twin sharing basis with inclusive cost and are chosen based on standard of hygiene, standard of service, food and location quality. There are two styles of accommodations during our trek. We will spend three night at Dalai-La Boutique Hotel or similar category hotel in Kathmandu, and during our trek we will spend 9 nights in standard tea house or lodge or hotel in which there are unheated rooms with wooden beds and foam mattresses. Iconic Nepal Travels will try to provide attached rooms as much as possible during the trek, however tea houses or lodges at some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. If you are a solo traveler, you will share a room with someone else of same sex of our group. If you prefer a single room, we may indicate our preference and get single rooms upon request by paying extra amount for single supplement.

All Meals on full board basis will be served during the trek in the mountains. Three meals in a day will be served from the tea house or from the lodge menus but the meals in this particular route are expected to be great meals. Each day's dinner and breakfast will be served in the same lodge we spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to destination at a tea shop. Breakfasts will be served in Kathmandu as well.

Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Iconic Nepal. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary. However, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountain regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, political conditions etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

Day 01  Arrival to Kathmandu (1300m). Transfer to Dalaila Boutique Hotel.
Day 02  Full day Kathmandu city tour.
Day 03  Flight to Humde (3353m).
Day 04  Trek to Ngawal besi (3420m).
Day 05  Trek to Braga (3500m).
Day 06  Trek to Sirikharka (4000m)
Day 07  Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4100m)
Day 08  Trek to Tilicho Lake and back to Sirikharka.
Day 09  Trek to Manang (3519m)
Day 10  Acclimatize Day
Day 11  Trek back to Humde (3353m)
Day 12  Flight back to Kathmandu  
Day 13  Final Departure.
